Nafisa’s Piano Studio is proud to offer piano and voice lessons to people of all ages and skill levels in the Orange County, NY area.
At Nafisa’s Piano Studio, we welcome all music learners, from absolute beginners to advanced students. We understand that for those who are new to music lessons, getting started can seem a little daunting. Here’s what to expect if you’re new to piano lessons.
Beginner Classes
Accepting students age 5 and up. Will provide a comfortable and supportive environment for beginner students. My mission here is to make students feel comfortable and to make students believe that piano playing is possible and enjoyable. Teaching proper posture, hands positions, note reading, ear training etc. Providing lessons books and plenty of piano pieces to play and make music lessons pleasant and at the same time knowledgeable. Preparing students for Elementary levels for National Piano Guild Exams.
Voice classes accepting students ages 6 and up .Teaching proper posture, breathing techniques, smooth singing tone.
Intermediate Classes
Providing more piano techniques skills and exercises, skills on hand and wrist position.Studying Czerny etudes,scales. At this level students play classical pieces by Mozart, Beethoven etc., sonatinas, etudes. Also students playing popular jazz music. Preparing students for Intermediate Levels for Piano Guild Exams, NYSSMA. Teaching music theory and sight reading.
Voice students learning more skills and breathing techniques, proper and advanced vowels singing, tone quality .Working and improving voice range of a student.. Students learning how to sing classical pieces in Italian or English, Broadway standards.
Advanced Classes
teaching advanced piano technique such as scales, Czerny etudes. Studying classical piano pieces of Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven ,Tchaikovsky etc. Preparing students for advanced levels for National Piano Guild Exams, NYSSMA
Adult classes
Everyone regardless of age can learn how to play piano or sing.
Who can take these classes?
Beginner-If you never played piano or sang but always dreamed of it then you are in the right place. Adult classes available for beginners, who always wanted to learn to play the piano or wanted to learn to sing.
Also If you played piano back then and want to get back to piano lessons again .
Or if you learned to play piano or sing on your own but feeling lost and need help with the instructor.
If your child is taking piano lessons and you want to understand more details to help your child at home.
